Tokai Hackathon

22 February @ 08:00 - 13:00

Sugarbird Project

Help save our Peninsula Granite Fynbos!

Meet and join our Sugarbird Teams at Tokai Park in a rapid blitz of hacking invading alien gums and wattles above the Tokai Arboretum between the Prinskasteel River and the Elephant’s Eye Trail.

Come and make a difference, even if for just 20 minutes: latecomers, intense blitzers and visitors welcome.

Directions: Park at the Arboretum Parking Area (behind Tokai Manor House), walk through the Arboretum and up the Elephants Eye Trail. Look out for our Friends of Tokai Park signs for the hack.
Time: 8AM1PM. Meet at 8AM for a brief tour of the Arboretum and an introduction to restoration at Tokai Park. Alternatively, you’re most welcome to pitch up whenever you’re able to do so.
Equipment: Bring loppers or handsaws, gardening gloves, water and sun cream. Also, bring a picnic. We’ll be relaxing in the Arboretum afterwards (baboons permitting).

Contact us or just rock up. You’ll find yourself among Friends.
